Alien adventures on the low seas

I have to say that my Leviathan-sense was tingling the other night when I watched this monster take a dip in a swimming pool, in pursuit of Elijah Wood, in The Faculty. Swim, you slimy beast, swim to your heart's content!

This striking scene brings to mind the swimming monsters of Alien Ressurection, and is a none-too-stuble reference to the extraterrestrial, but not extra-aquatic, pods from Cocoon. Do aliens prefer swimming pools? We know what James Cameron thinks about the water-ish alien worlds above us -- just big swimming pools in the sky, full of friendly, freakish fauna, that ought to be transplanted to the Atlantic at our earliest convience. For my part I want my swimming pool alien-free -- not to mention the fact that these guys had better be nowhere in sight:
