linda ronstadt has a whole bunch of albums in which she sings mariachi songs.
she gets around in both land and sea, that wench.
kevin klein married a very young phoebe cates who was in a movie that was very similar to blue lagoon except (and it was possible) it is pornier. it was called 'paradise' and it came out in 1982. though set in an oasis somewhere between baghdad and damascus and there is some sort of situation with white slave trade, which tangentially relates it to pirates and to, uh, this blog...
Avast! Doth mine eyes deceive me? Does this glorious cast also feature...ANGELA LANSBURY! My heart, it skylarks at the thought. If ever there was a dowager whose saucy smile smacked of a former life on the high seas, it is Angela Lansbury. I bet if we look, we will discover she played a sea wench at some point in her early movies. Or better yest, I bet she got her start playing a mermaid in some tawdry sea-themed burlesque house. I can see her now, lounging on some sort of sparkly clam, probably made of asbestos.
